| VCIs are a class of chemicals that prevent corrosion by blocking electrochemical reactions at the molecular level. Protec provides them in a number of convenient forms, including time release vaporizers, sprays, plastic bags and films, powders, oil additives and coatings. VCIs adsorb onto the metallic surfaces of the equipment, where they prevent corrosion for up to two years. VCIs are environmentally friendly and create no safety hazards for employees. They contain no toxic substances, such as nitrates, chromates or VOCs (volatile organic compounds). |
