VCI MicroBlock E-Spray:
Used for Corrosion Protection
of Electrical and Electronic Devices

 |
The PROTEC VCI MicroBlock E-Spray is a mixture of vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCIs) and petroleum carriers. It is used to provide corrosion protection for electrical and electronic devices. Designed for use in an enclosed environment, PROTEC VCI MicroBlock E-Spray provides a continuous vapor action that extends the life and eliminates downtime caused by corrosion.
How It Works:
MicroBlock E-Spray works at the molecular level by blocking the electrochemical reaction required for corrosion to occur. After application, it forms a dry-to-touch, non sticky film with a neutral pH value. Adsorbed to the metallic surfaces, it provides protection against microscopic corrosion that damages electrical hardware and sensitive electronics. When applied, it is also a highly effective contact cleaner.
Excellent for Electronics:
PROTEC VCI MicroBlock E-Spray provides instant, long-term corrosion protection for all electronics and electrical circuitry. The spray-on protective film does not alter electrical resistance, magnetic, optical or thermal properties of metal substrates. May be safely applied for protection of low voltage circuits or relays without causing any changes in conductivity or sticking of contacts. E-Spray protects multi-metal components, ferrous and non-ferrous. It can be used in contact with engineering plastics, elastomers and other non-metallics.
E-spray is ideal in enclosures with forced ventilation or cooling. It will provide vapor phase protection in vented or unvented enclosures. Recommended for routine maintenance protocol, it will provide continuous protection for up to six months.
Recommended Applications:
Protec VCI MicroBlock E-Spray extends the life and eliminates downtime for most electronic applications. It can be sprayed on to products after manufacture to improve shelf-life, or used as part of a maintenance program in the field. Here are just a few of the applications that benefit from regular application of Protec VCI MicroBlock E-Spray:
Actuators
Control Panels
Electrical Components
Electrical Contacts
Electrical Fixtures
Electrical Motors
Electric Motor Brakes
Electric Valve
Junction Boxes
Generators
Microswitches
Motors
Motor Starters
Printed Circuit Boards
Power Cord Connections
Relays
Spare Parts
Non-Hazardous:
Protec VCI MicroBlock E-Spray and all other PROTEC VCI products are non-hazardous and environmentally safe. They are free of CFCs and 1,1,1 trichloroethylene. They contains no nitrite, chromate or phosphate inhibitors, and have a high flash point.
Application Instructions:
Enclosures: PROTEC VCI MicroBlock E-Spray is effective in enclosures varying in size from a few cubic inches to thousands of cubic feet. It is also effective in various types of atmospheres, i.e., environments containing sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, etc.
Apply by pump spray or conventional spray. An application is effective for six months or more with proper controls. The amount to be used to maintain a sufficient concentration of vapors depends on factors such as:
efficiency of sealing,
enclosures (air circulation),
volume of the enclosure,
atmospheric conditions,
density/porousness of walls, etc.
